What you suggest has happened before, Robert. When the Bicycle Club first opened, their purple $25 H&C chip was a copy of the 50c chip currently at that time used at the Delta Club in Stockton. That is why the $25 chip at the Bike never matched the others in that series. I don’t know if any of the original $25 have survived. I’ve never seen one but somewhere here I have a clear picture of it in a Bicycle Club ad from the 1980’s.
