I have a Canon ts3522 that also has the CCD drive. I bought it reconditioned at least 10 years ago and it is still going strong. The advantage over the Epson is you can refill the ink cartridges on the Canon but not the Epson. I pick up the ink at estate sales for a buck or two which sure beats the $25 new carts.
