Short trip to ST. Maarten - report

My wife and I went to St. Maarten for a few days. Stayed at the Sonesta Ocean Point / Sonesta Maho Beach "all-inclusive" resort(s).

Right across the street from the largest casino in St. Maarten - the Casino Royale

Certainly not the friendliest casino. No one working there seemed to happy.

These are the current $1 to $5 chips on the tables.

Three roulette tables. Very generic chips. I picked up one from TABLE 1.

Before I left, I wanted to see if there were other casinos nearby. I found:

Didn't make sense to me why another casino was so close, yet no chips/pictures etc.

I found out....The Sonesta Maho Beach (SMB) casino is a satellite of the owner, the Casino Royale.

Slot machines, a couple of video poker terminals, a "virtual" roulette table and a cash claw machine.

Here is a standee placed outside the SMB:

Here are both sides of a handout in the lobby:

The player's cards they give out at are from the Casino Royale as are the TITOs.

Player's card from and back:

TITO:

One thing I noticed at the SMB casino is that their "Joker's Wild" video poker payouts are poor. The Casino Royale payouts are better.

Both casinos had a claw machine I had never seen before....

Hope you enjoyed the tour!!
