In good conscience stand by and say nothing.

These election posts have gotten out of hand.

I consider myself friends with both candidates.
Truth be told I am probably a little more friendly with Jerry as I have had more communication with him over the past 10 years than Jim.

I do however consider BOTH of them good friends.

In my discussions with BOTH candidates they both agreed to run a clean civil election. I don’t blame either of them for what is happening BUT it’s the supporters on BOTH sides who don’t seem to be playing by the same rules.

Does anyone truly believe that these posts are good for the club?

This whole thing is causing division within the club much like we saw just 2 years ago.

Want to know why we are losing members ?
I had numerous discussions just last night with a long time member who wanted to not renew because of all the bickering.

Want to know why we don’t have volunteers we need?
Why in heavens name would anyone want to volunteer for a club after reading the boards for the past few weeks?

Both sides obviously have a lot of supporters.
But the division within the club is growing like a cancer and taking it over.

People want to post who they support …. Fine
Candidates want to make campaign Statements…. Fine

But folks can’t we keep it civil?

Is the goal here to destroy the club?

There are many people working diligently to make improvements to the club and volunteering hundreds of hours of time to help make things better for all of us.

All these posts are doing is disillusioning those folks to the point they they eventually say why bother.

And that goes for supporters of BOTH candidates.

It absolutely sickens me to see what I have seen in just the last few weeks on this board.

Does anyone think this will Stop after the election?

If Jim wins those who don’t like Jim will continue to post negative comments.
If Jerry wins the exact same thing will happen and people will continue to go after Jerry.

I respectfully ask that people STOP immediately.

I also call upon BOTH candidates to ask all those that support them to support this effort.

On my opinion ANYONE who continues to post negative comments about either of the candidates cares little about the club or its membership.

If people truly cared about the damage all this is causing they would agree with what I have said.
