The Tale of the Little Red Rooster... grin

According to Las Vegas lore, the very first licensed gaming establishment on old Highway 91 (later “The Strip”) was
The Red Rooster in 1931. The license was granted to Alice Morris, and at the time The Red Rooster was a bar and
supper club with a modest stage show.

Another Red Rooster club was later located on South 4th Street in Las Vegas and operated during the 1940s and ‘50s.
If there are any chips from either of these places, I’ve never seen them.

Of course there are chips from other Red Rooster establishments – a few examples (which appear courtesy of the ChipGuide)
are shown below:

Today Red Rooster continues to be a popular name and symbol for a variety of businesses worldwide: clubs, bars, saloons,
bakeries, cafes, restaurants, coffee shops, B&Bs, construction and manufacturing companies, etc.
