As a reminder...
Ferris Core Antenna (FCA) Inlay chips.
FCA inlays are used in Abbiati manufactured, “Holy Grail Technology” (HGT) gaming chips. HGT is a trademarked designation for High Definition (HD) Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) circuitry that is embedded into gaming chips for the physical tracking of any and all gaming chips in a casino’s vault, tables, cashier’s cage and being carried around by customers and security personnel in the performance of their duties.
Unique to FCA inlaid gaming chips is the black, plug-like center that is a ferris (metallic) antenna that is internally attached to the HD RFID circuitry that allows the assignment of a unique number to any and all gaming chips in the float and physically within the bounds of the casino’s detection equipment.
Conceptually developed by the owner of the Parkwest Cordova Casino, Rancho Cordova, CA as a tracking tool to rival slot card tracking of customer play and playing habits, these HGT chips far exceed that initial concept.
If chips survive, I'll bet that these become more common at every casino.
