The bad news is that I will no longer be updating my Playing Card Back Design Guide.

The good news is that I am announcing that I am releasing the first edition of my new 33-page guide, "A Guide to Collecting Casino Playing Cards".

It is intended to inform new collectors and long-time collectors alike about the different features of casino playing cards. As it says, it includes an updated back design guide as well as a guide to aces of spades and jokers used at casinos. It also provides information to understand important card features and to allow collectors to see what they can look for when they collect.

It is not a vast index of all of the decks that have ever been used. Janice and Sandi did a great job of that, and the Chip Guide has taken up that mantle in a way I could never improve upon.

I have spent money in order to provide information and scans in my guide, so I am charging a small fee ($5 PayPal friends and family), but that will include free updates, at least for the foreseeable future, in order to help recoup some of my expenses.
