Why in the world would anyone want to memorialize Saddam Hussein on a poker chip?
I understand that people collect all kinds of things, and not everything we collect has to represent someone we admire. But there's a difference between preserving history and making a collectible that appears to honor someone.
We're talking about a dictator responsible for terrible atrocities against his own people and others. Why would anyone think he deserves to be celebrated on a poker chip?
I've been around this hobby a long time, and I just don't understand the appeal. There are thousands of people, places and events worth remembering in our hobby. Saddam Hussein certainly isn't someone I'd want to see memorialized.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but I'd really like to hear what other collectors think.
Is this preserving history, or are we crossing a line by putting people like this on collectible chips?
And no I wont supply a chip image because this disgusts me. WTF is there a Hitler chip too??
Much Better choice!!! (Cue the CK Rant)
