I started collecting antique gambling chips in the early 1970's. That is museum quality ivory chips from the mid 1800's. Also at the same time I was collecting clay chips with 100's of different designs. One of my specialties is the style of clay chips called Crest & Seal form the early 1900's. Now I collect all types of gambling chips. My two sons, Tegan & Drew would help me search for old gambling chips as children from the early 1980's and later attending many conventions. We are known as T.D.S. ANTIQUE GAMBLING CHIPS meaning Tegan, Drew & Steve. To date I have had a table at all 15 Casino Chip & Gaming Tokens Collector Club Conventions in Las Vegas, starting in 1993. My wife Cathy has been with me to every convention.

• 1993 I video taped 2 hours of the first convention and edited it with the early BELLFLOWER show on to a 1 hour & 20 minutes VHS tape.

• 1995 found the stolen PHILL JENSEN chip collection.

• In 2002 organized and ran the first ever member fundraiser. It was Club sponsored with member DONATED Casino player cards that were auctioned off at the Convention held at the Tropicana in June of 2002. Happy to say it raised $1,200 with all money going to the club.

• 2006 I bought my Life member in the CC & CCTC, LM-214 (there were lower numbers, I picked 214)

• 2007 reedited the old Bellflower and 1st Convention VHS on to a 1 hour DVD titled PIONEER CHIP COLLECTERS for the 15th anniversary of the CC & GTCC adding another $224 for the Building fund.

  But most of all, I have been signing all my commutation for over 25 years, the way I feel about chip collecting.
