~~~ spelling on the chip was meant to depict it in the Spanish language, if that letter e is a stylish lower case e, I would bet the chip is from somewhere in the Spanisn-speaking Americas... and spelled el Cortez by simply looking at the spelling on every El Cortez Vegas chip.

Based on what I said, I suggest ChipGuide review the entry...
