A pleasant experience at NEW YORK NEW YORK...

Tonight I stopped by the NY NY to pick up a couple of their new $1, hot-stamp chips, to use as traders. Knowing there was no poker room (an easy to harvest chips location) I first went towards the table games. Plenty of dealer-staffed, no players at the tables opportunities, but you could see how the old $1's and new $1's were well mixed. This of course complicates the process to just get the newer chips only.

Insteas, I decided to try the cage. There was no line as I went to a window and asked if I could please get 10 of their new $1 chips. The teller paused briefly, said yes, and then tried to get the attention of the cage supervisor. The supervisor came over and said that they could do that, but she wanted to get new ones from the bank.

I said great, and could I get 20. She said sure, and sent the teller off with 20 old chips, to get me 20 new ones. Needless to say, I was pleased and the teller was happy to get my tip.

Sure would be nice if getting new traders was always this easy. Thank you New York New York!

So, anyone interested in trading for a new, minty fresh, NY NY hot-stamped $1 chip?
