According to the book “Good Time Girls of Nevada and Utah”
Taxscine Ornelas arrived in Tonopah in 1930 and ran a brothel
on St. Patrick st. for 24 years. She was a respected member of
the community contributing to charities and helped to build a
hospital. Her place was closed in 1951 following a murder and
she died in 1954 some say of a broken heart. Photos from the
Central Nevada Museum show her place on the left and Taxscine
laughing it up with customers at her brothel. Looks like a fun place.
