A few days ago, I won 2 items from a seller. eBay automatically charged my credit card 1 hour after each auction ended. Therefore, I was charged the shipping twice. There was no way to request combined shipping. Today there are several items I want to bid on from a seller. This seller offers combined shipping. Here's the problem. When you go to place a bid there is a statement at the bottom of the bidding window that states if you win eBay will charge the bid and related costs to your credit card. I called eBay. I was told this was an update from eBay to prevent nonpayment. I was told I would then have to request a refund from the seller for the extra shipping charges. I don't think that request would always go smoothly.
