Danny’s Slot Country

Regarding the recent post on Danny’s Slot Country; I would occasionally stop by
in the 70s. There was an L-shaped bar and quite a few slots on the floor. They had
a 21 machine that was a lot like a real game. You could play quarters or dollars that
we’re stacked in front of you. Not many places had them. Later on, a second location
opened in the same building just to the south. I don’t think there was anything
between them, just a wall. You had to go outside to get from one to the other. It
may have been called Danny’s Bar and had a different owner but I can’t say for
sure. I thought it was a weird setup. Neither place ever had live games. I think
there is a Dotty’s there now.
