Good questions Bob. Here is some info...

Providing that I am re-elected as the Vice President, I am looking forward to several things.

First off, I like the idea of having several more official representatives to discuss and even debate the various things that come to the Board. And while they do not vote their opinions, I am hoping that they engagr fully with the discussions that take within the Board, and, since they are non voting, they can be asked to take on actions of research and evaluation for the voting members of the Board.

I also see these roles as a source of succession planning. Not the being a Officer at Large would be a requirement to running for a voting position, but by having the experience of doing Board level interactions with the full Board, it adds to ones resume if the later run for Office. At this time there are no job descriptions, but as we go along, that can become an assignment.

The Preseident has already been given several "assignment" suggestions for the 2 winning nominees, and said suggestions will be discussed with the sucessful winners.

I also hope that the candidates are self-starters with their own ideas of pursuit and a big desire to offer their time and related past experiences in the future direction of the CCA.

With that, I thank you for your question, I hope that some of what I said is of benefit to you and any readers. Lastly, any CCA Member that is considering in running for these positions, or any of the positions on this slate, must receive 2 Nominations in order to be valid.
