There’s been a lot of write-ups about the Mizpah being haunted, and I actually had a weird experience there. Just last summer, I was playing 21 at one of their two blackjack tables and in the middle of one hand, the dealer was pointing from player to player to ask if anyone wanted to draw a card. One player commented on what a nice watch the dealer had, and about 3 seconds later, the watch unhooked itself and fell on the table with no movement at all on the dealers part. I thought maybe it was a set up, but the guy that called attention to the watch had been playing and guzzling beer for over an hour. One to-be-unnamed chipper told me she stayed there overnight and had a very unusual experience there also. I’d be interested to know if anyone else on this board saw or heard anything they couldn’t explain in the Mizpah.
