Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun are great places. Here's a few others we've hit on trips up east and back to Cincinnati.

One crazy thing that happened a few years ago. We were going west through Connecticut and I had planned a course above NY City. I accidentally followed my GPS, which picked a more direct route. So we ended up taking 2 extra hours diving through the Bronx at 2 mph and bumper to bumper over the George Washington Bridge to New Jersey. There was a toll booth coming up so we had our money out and ready. We somehow got in the wrong lane and there was no way to pay. We called later and was told, "don't worry, they'll bill you". Well, we got a bill for the $3.50 toll and an extra charge of $50 bucks for not paying the toll. I sent them a check for $3.50 and told them there was no one at the toll booth to take our money. Later we got our bank statement showing us they cashed our check and told them they were wasting their postage back and forth because we weren't paying any more. We don't have road tolls around here, so it was all very foreign to us. I guess NJ is one place I have to be sure never to go back to. After dealing with those folks I have to believe nothing good ever came out of NJ.
