Pam, I worked with a George Jamison at the Four Queens who said
he owned Hut Club. He also said his father had the Victory Club across
the street and his brother had the Magnesium next door. I remember
when it was a thrift store, adult book store, and trailer hitch store at
various times. George said he sold it to a couple of old ladies who sold
it to Jim Thorpe. The last guy that had it kept a Wheaties cereal box with
Thorpe’s picture on display. By the way, the building was actually a Quonset
Hut. Vic’s Jolly Jug was just south of it. It’s all gone now.
