Delta Saloon Slot Machine - Wonderful Time

I remember, back in the early 1980’s the Delta Saloon had a 50¢ slot machine that if it did not pay anything out in 10 pulls, would refund the $5.00. The bartender/cashier would give people half dollars in change. The customers would put 1 or 2 half dollars into the slot and walk away. The slot machine had a counter and I would sit at the bar and watch the counter and when it got to 7 or higher, I would step up to it and play. I either won something on the pulls I made or the slot would pay out the $5.00. I would get my drinks for free and tip the bartender generously and we both made money.
