Back in the old California chip club meetings in the late 1990's. Held at Hollywood Park Casino, I met a young musician named Jakob Dylan who was starting up a group called " THE WALLFLOWERS ". He became a regular at our monthly meetings, and he got very interested in Nevada casino chips. Over a period of time I sold and gave him a number of obsolete Nevada chips. On one occasion I brought him a very early album from his dad Bob Dylan, I asked him if he could get it signed. And the next monthly meeting he brought it back to me with a great personal autograph. I'm sure some of the old California casino chip gang, remember him. George D, Alex, Armin, the Hartman's, Barry W., and of course my good friend Jim Munding.
I don't know if Jakob is still actively collecting casino chips, but his band " THE WALLFLOWERS " has done quite well over the years. I know he is scheduled to do a 1 day show at the Strat. in Oct.
I truly miss the old California Chip Club meetings at Hollywood Park Casino.We had a great group of people, it wasn't just a meeting it was a monthly social event.
