I posted that info here and this is just one remark that is so true....

Sure it's nice to have some chips from the set but, it is obvious it would have probably sold for tens of thousands of dollars if complete and in its original cabinet. There is also an estimated value posted in one of the threads of well over $50,000... and that is what Westen's remark defines.

There is another set of 2000 chips that was advertised here and the seller asked how he should sell it. My advice was not to break it up because all the remnants will sell for virtually nothing... The seller decided to break it up after a shot at auction where some of the original set had already been sold and everyone who knew the original quantity simply stayed away and now remnants of that set hit eBay a month ago and the pieces are selling for very little and they were all the highest denominations in the set with hundreds and hundreds of the lower denominations existing. The pieces are selling at a fraction of what many casino chips sell for where thousands exist...
