I guess the thing I question is the time frame of the die cut chips listed as Burt Co. in the Chip Guide and who manufactured them. In the cut out from the Chip Guide below, the top and bottom chip appear to be newer. The colors look newer as well. I don't doubt they are Burt chips. The example I marked #2, is a very old design. It's in a 1920 USPC catalog and also in a 1908 edition. Chip #1 is in An American News chip ad/catalog from 1905. From the history of the Burt Co. I read, they didn't start making chips till the early 1930's. Even if USPC sold their chip making equipment to Burt after WWII, at what point would a USPC chip turn into a Burt chip? If you catch my drift.

I think you are right, that those are misplaced.
