Nice group - question?

When you say you haven't seen a 10 strike before, did you mean a specific location or the format of the ten strike?

Pioneer Bar has a historical marker. Too bad I missed taking a photo of that? https://historicalmarkerproject.com/markers/HM1OJA_pioneer-saloon-and-hotel_Elko-NV.html

"One of Elko's oldest saloons first opened in a tent in December of 1868 at this location. The building was completed in 1913 costing $50,000. The saloon featured tiled floors, metal ceiling, mahogany furniture and a mirrored back bar. With the upper floors later converted to a hotel the saloon remained an informal employment office for local ranchers. 1981 remodeling closed the saloon for the first time in 112 years. Through a donation by George Gund the building was purchased in 1992 by the Western Folklife Center who sponsors the Annual Cowboy Poetry Gathering and hosts many other events throughout the year. "

Pabst Brewing Co. purchased Blatz in 1958 and shut down the brewery at Juneau and Broadway, but antitrust regulators challenged the sale. In 1969 Pabst was forced to sell Blatz to La Crosse-based G. Heileman Brewing Co. (Pabst later reacquired the Blatz brand.) The Blatz brewery was converted to apartments in 1988. Pabst and Blatz are virtual breweries. They pay some other company to make and bottle their products. Pabst owns Heileman’s Old Style, Lone Star and others.

Blatz commercial jingle:

I'm from Milwaukee and I ought to know:
It's draft brewed Blatz beer, wherever you go.
Smoother and fresher, less filling that's clear,
Blatz is Milwaukee's finest beer.

Loved the little bottle, can and keg cartoon characters. Draft Brewed (whatever that means?)

Traveling on Hwy 41 to Chicago and back, (now I-94) this was a notable site. It eventually blew down in a storm, maybe in the 70s?
