It’s been many years since I’ve been to the skyline casino where I used to go listen to the band play in the lounge on a Sunday I’d have a $.99 shrimp cocktail and $.99 margarita $7.95 prime rib dinner … play one dollar blackjack, free parking, nice people.. the place was packed with retirees Vietnam veterans All types of locals having fun but today I went there and found about six people in the whole joint around lunchtime. Coffee shop had two people in it. I opened the menu and then I said this is why since the remodel and addition of a big hotel rooms, next-door The skyline has become a product of COVID-19 blaming prices on everything. How about a $15 hamburger how about a $15 wing appetizer how about a $25 prime rib that’s only 10 ounces ….
Yep that’s what I encountered today and sadly I don’t think I’ll be back. I do love the antiques and the decorations and all that …. but the last of the Mohicans has gone here are some pictures of then and now. Enjoy. Your comments are welcome and by the way, I do love Jim marsh he’s a great guy, but whoever talked him into this, he chased away all his local steady customers
