We got back from our "extended" stay in Austin, Texas about an hour ago. Return flight was very smooth - no problems with Southwest !!
We were originally scheduled to return on Dec. 27th but the mass canceled flights at Southwest pushed us back 5 days. I will be getting all the "extra" charges - car rental, airport parking, hotel together to present to Southwest for a refund/credit - whatever. Should be interesting to see how Southwest resolves all the problems associated with the mass cancellations. It may cost them Millions or even Billions to resolve all the claims from affected passengers. The impact on us was minor compared to what some passengers had to endure.
The extra time in Austin gave us an opportunity to spend more quality time with the Grandkids (ages 4 and 6)!!
