The International Casino of Haiti was mob operated. Several years ago I was offered a large quantity of the $1, $5 and $25 chips. The prices were way to high for the number of collectors who would be interested in these chips. I figured that I would be lucky to sell as many as 10 sets at the price the seller offered. Then I would have been left with dozens of sets with little hope of selling them. I declined the offer. I asked to buy just one set and was rudely turned down. I suspect that the seller was somehow connected to the operators of the casino. I was able to eventually put together the set, but it took quite a while. There are a quantity of these chips around, but doubtful that they will ever come to market.
