Nice Photo Alex and I wouldn't know driving times, I'm up here in Wisconsin. 4 hours plus a bit, by car, sounds more realistic.

This is a private operation, not Government funded. But there was another scam that was going to run X-Train that came out with stock, then paid themselves, then depreciated the stock, then issued more and more promises. They eventually actually do run some trains, tourist and excursions, but not to Las Vegas. There have been bonds and grants and all kinds of studies. XpressWest comes and goes, Brightline and Virgin partners and a break up.

Apparently some people still think this is a good idea?

For me, I'd never take that train, but I;d like to see it, as a rail fan. If there's a first stop West from Las Vegas, I'd probably take the train out, and take the return trip the same day, just to have a ride. I mean, many trips to LV I drove to Jean, or just to see Goodsprings?
