Unidentified Chip - Turns to Gold !!!

I was looking thru Doug Saito's Auction #56 and came across a Large Crown chip that set off a light bulb in my head.
I collect Large Crown Chips and have around 1000+ in my collection and when I see a Large Crown chip I can usually tell if I have it or not. It is kinda amazing that I can also do this with the other 50,000+ I have in my various collection.
Well, back to the story - The chip I saw was a Large Crown hotstamped with a Large rounded T W. I checked my Large Crowns and found that I did have the exact same T W chip but I had no attribution for it. From the info in Doug's Auction catalog and TCR, I now know the chip is a pretty scarce chip from the Twin States Club which was located in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada. The cool thing about the chip is that it was produced in 1946 - the year that I was born !!
The chip is listed in TCR with a value of $300-$349 and it has a current bid in Doug's Auction of $264 (including buyer's premium).
The best thing about the whole story is that I only paid $2.00 for the chip on May 22,1999 and it is now selling for around $300. It is really fun to attribute a chip I have had in an album for 23 years as a UFC. I love this Hobby !!
Take care,
