It's been quite a while since I've been to Crystal and the surrounding area. I imagine some of
the places have closed since then. It looks like the Short Branch is closed permanently what
with the boards over the windows. There's been a few changes to the front as shown in this
photo I took in the 80s(?). I think the name on the sign says Matheny's. Other neat stuff out
there is Devil's Hole, Longstreet, Amargosa Opera House, and Ash Meadows Lodge (closed).
