Weekend finds at Kobey's in San Diego

Took a chance that I'd escape the Rain of King Charles III and headed south to San Diego. Blue skies, not a drop falling on the flea market. At first I didn't spot a thing but then I hit the Golconda* at a vendor's table where a big box had been dumped over, revealing Bob Baker's Boomtown Boot and many more surprises. If there was ever a reason to visit Las Vegas, I'd say getting a Bob Baker Boomtown Boot was it. Not many chips per se, but a lot of stuff per non se. (C'mon Claudius, you can do it, make per non se the opposite of per se!)

A 4-dimensional statue of Mister O'Lucky from O'Sheas, some Riviera stuff, yet another different Caesar pendant (I'm sure Caesar knew a per non se when he saw one), an Aladdin refrigerator magnet and a photo of Joe Palooka on the backside of the Plaza keyfob.

After all that, and still feeling lucky, I headed east to Viejas Casino - was awarded a $25 comp chip and played a rousing Cash-nado slot game where I actually won some moolah. Ended the afternoon around $28 down and drenched from the Rain of King Charles which finally caught up with me there and on the way home. Said storm actually generated a scary Civil Defense Warning broadcast from the radio. All in all, a decent day since we have established that Cat Trac Truck is not afraid of King Charles.
