The golf club goes back to the 1880s.

The railroad pulled into town in the late-20's... and, like any other small town, city, department or region; thousands of tourists visit no matter what the population numbers are.

Every inch of colum inch of newspaper and phone books have been searched years ago and not one historian within a hundred miles knew of such a club.
