Interesting that the Texan had two different ashtrays since they were only open for three months
in 1958. Pictures of it are hard to come by but if you look close these two post cards show it.
Joe Mackie bought the Mint in 1954 and sold it to three Texans in 1958. Shortly after one of them
was killed in a car crash which probably accounts for the short life of the club. The place then
became Kirky's Bingo Club (third PC) which isn't mentioned in the guide book. Mackie bought
it back in 1961 and renamed it the Red Bull. Different sources give conflicting dates.
