Re: Three Boys Tobacco 1901
In Response To: Three Boys Tobacco 1901 ()

Over a decade ago I received this emai:

In 1900 Jno. Finzer & Bros. of Louisville, KY registered a label for tobacco called "Three Boys."
Finzer had huge plug chewing tobacco sales (one of their popular brands sold under the appetizing name "Jolly Tar").
Don't know if the graphic on the chip is for their "three boys" brand or not.

Hard chip to research. Hard to tell if the graphic is from an advertisement or something else.
It’s almost like it’s supposed to be a humorous graphic, in that the older kid is teaching the younger kids to chew tobacco for the first time—which will most likely make them sick as a dog.

I don’t see any evidence that the “Three Boys” brand was still around when that chip was made in 1924 (I don’t see it after 1903).
I kinda doubt that the graphic on the chip has anything to do with Finzer’s “Three Boys” tobacco.

I have to locate the graphic on some tobacciana
