Interest in a Reno club? Maybe meet Sat May 7?

Quick poll since I don't have a solid idea of how many collectors are in/around Reno Nevada... How many people would be interested in participating in a local Reno/Northern Nevada chip collector's club (similar to the Southern Nevada group - SNCCC)? We can meet at my place in South Reno for now, and move to a different venue (restaurant, poker room, Reno Events Center vbg) if/as we grow. I'm thinking that if we get to a minimum level of regular attendance, we can advertise in pawn shops, antique shops, junque shops, on craigslist, and wherever else crazy people like us might hang out and add some people that aren't already "in". That should, in turn, grow CCA membership and convention attendance as well.

Currently, I travel to the Sacramento CA area to meet up with the NorCal club when they have meetings and I REALLY want to be lazier about this. I have a 10-person poker table so we could make that part of the post-meeting fun for those who care to join in.

I know collectors in Carson City, Lake Tahoe, and Reno proper. Anyone in Truckee, Verdi, Fernley, Winnemucca or Elko (that would be a drive!). Anyone in towns along Hwy 50? Hwy 95? Hwy 395/580?

For members of other clubs (NorCal, SNCCC, etc), you'd be welcome to attend as well, of course.

Or if everyone prefers, I'd be happy to host a NorCal meeting from time to time if the interest is there from your members.

I'll tentatively plan a meeting for Saturday, May 7 @ 1pm meeting time. Refreshments will be provided. I'll email out details to those who express interest in attending that day if I get enough interest.

Let me know your thoughts and level of interest.
