Hi Archie. I more or less stated 20-40 year olds as the target of my proposal. And to be clear, I’m not suggesting a wholesale changing of the guard. Heck no! I just think that we’re not going to find too many new members approaching the century club, whereas there’s 2 generations or so of potential members that may never hear of our organization or be attracted to it because of a perceived generational gap between them and us. So, having some young ambassadors, so to speak, holding officer/board positions will lend credibility, familiarity, and social caché. And remember, those of us (and I don’t include myself here)who have vast amounts of knowledge need to get that info passed on, even if it’s through conversations, interviews, etc with the younger generations. Anyway, I do agree with your sentiment that anyone who is interested is a welcome addition.
