Overall I believe this to be a manufactures sample. A couple of opinions were that the one side is faded. I am not sold on that yet for the following reasons. The Inserts and edges are the same on both sides. Also there are two shades of Brown on the one side of the chip, around the edges and inside. You can see the white side of the chips color is the same on the white edge and inside. I would be a heck of a feat to get a fade like that. It would take many years of fermentation under what conditions ? I would like to know how chips actually get faded. Maybe in direct sunlight...I may have to run an experiment this year in Las Vegas while in the 115 degree weather. Leave a chip outside for the week in direct sunlight to see what happens.
