I have had several packages sent from Australia recently, and it’s a similar story.

Packages go through the local postal authority then have to wait to pass through customs. Once it passes through customs, the package has to wait for the next available ship/plane to get to the States. Once it gets to the US, it has to go through customs again, and then on to you.

One package took between 3 to 4 weeks to get to me.
