To continue selling on EbayUK I had to send them a copy of my bank statement (even though they've been sending and taking my money from there for years, so they know it's real). If I'd wanted to be able to sell outside of the UK then I had to send a copy of a passport or Driving licence, neither of which I have so don't sell abroad now. Maybe they are just catching up on their other sites now. I could use their global shipping but had to have a VAT number and it was a pain to organise so I opted out.
