A 2000-pc. set grin
In Response To: I Ain't Lion... grin ()

Stock sets of up to 7000 chips with $ monetary units were made for The Americas along with other animal heads, birds and fish and single letters by a few of the French manufactures which were widely used in California and Mexico casinos of which most were eventually sold to Mexico for jewelry and clothing buttons. Many are found in flea markets where tracers of the original engravings can be seen by flipping over some of the refinished pieces. In fact; an 1870's private Paris club inventory of a few denominafions up to the red 1000F plaques can be seen offered for such use, online, by a Califodnia antique shop. The big reds were gobbled up first... grin
