Owner Blanche Olinger was murdered in her room by a a transient passing thru town. The name
was changed to the Alpine by owner Francis Escobar. I remember talking with him and getting
one and five dollar Lincoln Hotel chips marked LH in the 70s. The casino was closed by then but
much of the equipment was still there. The bar was later operated as the Lucky Stiff. Photo shows
Louie's Lounge before it was remodeled.
