I seem to remember a swanky yacht used in 77 Sunset Strip . . . it was anchored for a time in Miami Beach, near the Fontainebleau Hotel, visible from Collins Avenue in the waterway to the west of Collins Avenue. (You cannot anchor a yacht in the Atlantic Ocean to the east of Collins Avenue, despite what "Some Like It Hot" would have you believe!*) Anyway we used to gawk at the 77 Sunset Strip Yacht for some months until . . . I guess it was moved, or the series ended, or alligators ate it.

Rich Burgel might remember more about this. Not a tall tale - just a salty one.

* PS: Watch "Some Like It Hot" carefully and you will see hazy mountains behind the yachts and the beach. Mountains in Miami? Haw-haw-haw. Even the alligators laugh at that blooper.
