“Transaction completed successfully”

Someone posted recently about Caesars properties changing the way that ticket redemption machines no longer give out coins. Several of our “local” casinos stopped giving out coins “due to the national coin shortage” when they reopened after being closed for the pandemic...instead, they issued new TITOs for the coin portion. You could stick it in your pocket for later or take it to the cashier.

Until sometime in the past few days, the Blue Chip gave out coins. Today we got “receipts” showing that the transaction was completed successfully. The kiosks don’t have any signage, indicating that there are no coins. The ticket or receipt doesn’t tell the customer to take it to the cashier.

And when I stopped at the bar, to get some water for the hotel room, the bartender told me that next week they will be charging for water 😢
