All the articles and auction descriptions I have read pertaining to cigarette burns on gambling chips and exactly how they got there, along with other instruction by some of the best educators in our hobby... all included the term "nicotine stain" being present on the chip with some only showing that stain without much more. I think I first read of the term in a Gaming Archeology Auction catalog.
