Re: Long Beach Flea Market finds today

I totally remember the Palms Casino at Knott’s! It was located towards the back of the park in an area known as the Roaring 20s. This land celebrated and was themed to, you guessed it, the Roaring 20s! It had flapper dancers and men in gangster outfits performing and rides like Corkscrew (a roller coaster), the Parachute Sky jump, The Wacky Soap Box Racers and Knott’s Berry Tales ( a dark ride in the style of Disney’s Fantasyland rides). Berry Tales ride was filled with anthropomorphic critters in 20s era outfits on the way to the county fair.
Below the show building that held Berry Tales were 2 arcades. The larger of the two was the Buffalo Nickel Arcade with Ski ball, pinball, shooting gallery and early video games. Next to the Buffalo Nickel was the Palms casino. Although not an actual casino it was decked out fancier than the other arcade and featured a number of games of skill more suited to an adult audience.
The Roaring 20s area has been rethemed and now is known as the Boardwalk.
I’m going to search online and see if I can find some photos of the area.
