None of this; Tombs or Upstate prison(s), Luciano, or my father being given the boat by his father has anything to do with the 1950's. The boat has been in the possession of my grandfather way before 1952. Trying figure out exactly where it was built and when Luciano gave it to my grandfather is not known to me. The only modification I know of with the boat is the electrical lighting which my father did in 1952, in my presents... while explaining to me at the time and to friends through the years, was the boat being out of proportion (outfitting)... especially having two smokestacks which a much larger vessel would have had. I think the actual design was taken from photos in a book, but when, we do not know.
