~~~ could be because they came from Spain as did.other chips known from The Americas and the Caribbean.

The San Sebastian series below and the 'CC' above appear to be close in manufacture or, .at least the die-cut inlays do ... Though, I am more interested in knowing where exactly the 'CC' chips are from since the mold embossing has been seen elsewhere.
