I guess Scott and I are lucky. We were around Chuck a lot but no COVID for us. I’m so glad Chuck has weathered the storm and is back to pretty much normal. We had all been vaccinated and it’s seems now that it was absolutely the right thing to do. I was feeling really bad the last few days of the convention and felt really bad what I got home.When I found out about Chuck I got tested for COVID that day and was negative. Since then I have been tested 3 times in the last 8 days and all were negative. I have something else going on just not sure what. Had some X-rays today.
I don’t like talking about my medical problems but as a lot of you already know. I had cancer and have been going through all the surgeries and other treatments this past year. So far I appear to be cancer free and am in the monitor phase for the next year or so. The convention was my first real activity in over a year and a half. I think it was just a little to much for this old body and it started to give out on me in this weakened condition. Feeling a little better, but still not to great. I have sent out a few photos but it will be a while before I get them all up on the clubs storage site. If your waiting for photos I’m real sorry for the delay. If there’s something you need for a club publication in the next couple weeks email me and I’ll try my best to get you at least a few. God willing and the river don’t rise, I’ll start processing and get them all up maybe next week. With three photographers it just takes a little time to provide the club with high quality work.
Under the circumstances, I thought the convention was great and thank everyone that attended and those that put in the hard work setting up and managing. Most of all it was great to see friends, some not for 3 years.
Looking forward to next years convention and being in a lot better physical condition and a little lighter. (-: I also hope South Point is not as crowded. I thought it was the most crowded SP has been since the convention moved there over 10 years ago.
