I'm going I-10
In Response To: Which path would you choose ()

I-10 from Florida to California, gets you close to a bunch of casinos in Mississippi and Louisiana. (I did the Louisiana thing back in January, hitting more than a dozen casinos.) Although Texas would be a long casino drought; it'll take you all day (daylight to dark) just to drive across Texas if you don't stop; it you can't drive for 15 hours straight, then it'll take you two days. As far as I know, there's only one casino open in Texas, and it's about 150 miles from San Antonio...about a 2.5 hour hike, but if you've gone that far, you might as well take the detour. I've been to that Kickapoo Lucky Eagle casino a few times. It's a nice place, but go only if you play slots or poker -- no table games except poker. Their poker room is OK, but usually has only 1 or 2 games going. It's way down south, close enough to the border to funnel you through a Border Patrol station. On the other hand, you could spend days hitting all the poker rooms along the I-10 corridor of Texas. If you collect Texas poker room chips, that's the thing to do.

Then you get to New Mexico and Arizona, with a ton of cool, Indian casinos. You're talking about a long haul across the southern US. Would be interesting.
