It was my pleasure to present an Educational Seminar at the Convention, with the topic being the Trials and Tribulations (and successes) of The Trail of the MoGH.

In my presentation I noted that a very early travelling museum was offered by Tom Pleau and Tom Bowling, around California. While I am sketchy on the details, I was using them as an example of the general concept of expanding the hobby by reaching out to others in the form of a museum.

Well imagine my surprise, when later in the day, I encountered a Convention attendee with a name badge of "Tom Bowling". As I had never met him, I had to ask if he was "the" Tom Bowling from the Hollywood Park Casino. He said yes, and we talked for a bit. What a great guy. I had heard many stories of his hosting the Southern California Casino Collectors Club at Hollywood Park Casino, and with every story teller, it was noted how well he treated the Club members and Club.

In our conversation, I gave him my personal chip, for which he gave me one of his. WOW! What a special treat!!
