Re: Nick The Greek's Csino
In Response To: Nick The Greek's Csino ()

Hi guys. I have Nick Pandelis the owner of the South Shore Casino & South Tahoe Casino on audiotape for 1 hour. Several conversations were not recorded in the beginning of our friendship. He has stories that should be in a full-length movie. Pandelis was good friends with Nick Dandolos the first Nick the Greek that died on Christmas Eve 1966 soon after the opening of the South Shore Casino. Pandelis had Nick Dandolos deal the first Hand of Black Jack to open the Casino. The impression I got was Pandlelis made the ashtray to honor his buddy by saying Nick the Greek liked this casino and gambled here. I will listen to the tape when I get the chance, but I do not remember Pandellis saying Dandolos had any part of the ownership. Here is a copy of the paper that Nick Pandlelis sent to me. The paper does not mention that Dandolos had a part of the casino. I had a lot of fun interviewing small casino owners when I was a little younger. C U all soon. Having fun Steve.
